All right you guys, let’s wrap this up!
NaBloPoMo is done. Now, you might be thinking, “Hey! What about that grandiose theme you had? Every Day Counts? I thought we were going to hear all about the meaning of life, and all we got were a bunch of posts about cats and pies.”
Well… yes. I really intended to write much more about my theme, but as the month went on I just found myself going with the flow. I learned I don’t like to be too strict with a theme, because I love to get inspiration from other bloggers (and podcasts, articles and books) during the month.
But I did think about my theme a lot, and have been trying to come up with my “word” for 2024 that embodies the same idea. Nothing really seemed quite right, and then I suddenly realized- instead of a WORD for 2024 I can have a THEME for 2024… and that theme will be “Every Day Counts.” Duh.
So I will be revisiting this idea, and I really mean it. I’m not pulling a bait and switch this time!
A big thanks to everyone who read and commented this month, and I want to give a special shoutout to our “NaBloPoMo Angels,” those who weren’t participating in the writing part, but read along and commented regularly. I could name names, but I’m afraid of leaving someone out. You know who you are!
Lastly, a tremendous THANK YOU to San for organizing NaBloPoMo and bringing us all together! I’ve met most of my favorite bloggers through NaBloPoMo, and the list is growing every year. So… thank you, San.
Phew. That’s a wrap!

It’s still the 29th here, so I’m excited for you that you’ve wrapped things up. I’ve enjoyed getting to know you this month. Your go with the flow approach worked just fine for me. I have some reading to catch up on as the last few days got really insane over here. Thanks for visiting my blog too. I’ve put in on a privacy setting because of the way the media caught wind of our lawsuit. It’s been nuts. I expect and I hope that things settle down soon and I can go back to life as normal. In the meantime, I’ll try to send you an email invite to be able to view my blog. No pressure. I decided to post something today and tomorrow and if no one can see it until I remove it from private, then so be it. In a million years, I couldn’t have predicted this.
I did try to go to your blog today and couldn’t get in! What a crazy turn of events for you. If you send me the email invite I’ll definitely read it- I need to know how this all turns out!
Well I love whatever you post about so I say just keep doing what you’re doing Jenny.
Three cheers for completing NaBloPoMo.
Elisabeth, thank you for the kind words and support! Three cheers to all of us.
I like the idea of a theme instead of a single word. Looking forward to your posts in 2024!
Well done on completing yet another NaBloPoMo!
Thank you Catrina!
I look forward to following you as you “make every day count” although I’m thinking you do a pretty good job of doing that.
Thanks Melissa- some days are better than others and I’m going to work on that.
Woo! Good work Jenny! You made it! Love the idea of using your theme for all of 2024.
Thank you Suzanne! We all made it!
Yay NaBloPo 2023!!! You made every day count with profound thoughts plus cats and pies.
Ha ha… thanks Beckett!
Congrats on another NaBloPoMo!!!
Thank you Nicole!
Congrats! You did such an awesome job!
I thought you did a nice job with the theme, by the way. It doesn’t have to be the top of mind for every single post and you did wrap back around to it a few times. Yay!!
Thank you Engie! I agree it would have gotten tiresome if every single post were about making the day count. A few more of them would have been nice, but it is what it is!
Yay you did it! I have loved reading all the posts but the commenting is A LOT of work so I am kind of glad November is over? But not just for blogging rasons. November has been a terrible month for us in terms of health!
Yes, I would say it’s been pretty hard for you. Maybe this means December will be awesome!
I LOVE YOUR THEME!! seriously. Love.!!
Thank you, SHU! I know why you love it- you’ve been thinking along the same lines, and I love your word for 2024.
Yay Jenny, congrats on completing another NaBloPoMo. I had no doubt you’d do amazing and I think your theme “Every Day Counts” did shine through, even if you didn’t address it in every single post.
Thanks for being such a cheerleader for NaBloPoMo and recruiting new people. We’ve really built something over the last couple years. This year had the highest turnout yet 🙂 I love our community!!
Thank you for reading my blog and commenting so much. I am excited to keep following you. Hearing about all your fun runs helps inspire me to get outside too! Even if it’s much less frequently.
I like your theme of every day counts. I need to embrace that same mindset. I can get so wrapped up in planning for the future that I forget to appreciate what is happening right now.
congrats… that’s dedication … time and topics. You rock
I also love that theme. It’s so good. I just sat and mulled it over for a minute here, and I think what I like so much is the idea of EVERY day counting. Even the boring ones, the stressful ones, the ones that seem ho-hum work and dinner and chores. Like, what is something I can do every single day to make that day just a little special, stand out, count. Love it! I have not given any thought to a word or phrase for 2024, but you and SHU are inspiring me to follow in your footsteps in some capacity!
That’s such a great theme for 2024 and I’m excited that we’re going to follow along with how you live out that word.
Hooray for the end of NaBloPoMo – it was fun but I’m happy I don’t have to post every day now!
Whooohooo yeah. you made it. we made it. What a wonderful ride again.
And amazing hat you already found your guiding theme for 2024. Love it.
Love your theme! What a great idea to use that vs. trying to find one word. Have loved reading your daily posts (albeit a bit late…). I think you really made every day count – and your posts showed that you did, even if they didn’t use the words, specifically. 🙂
