This is the Thanksgiving card I got from Engie! Thank you, Engie! I am giving thanks, and I am happy.
We’re thoroughly enjoying our Thanksgiving-Christmas mashup! Tinsel and star are now on the tree:
…and we have the first candy canes of the season.
I’ll be back tomorrow with photos from Thanksgiving dinner, but here’s a preview of the pies:
I feel like the Charlie Brown of the pie world. I just can’t seem to get them to come out right. Looks-wise, I mean. I’m sure they’ll taste great!
If you celebrate Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving! If not, Happy Thursday! I hope everyone has a delicious day.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you Steve! Happy T-Day to you too!
Those pies look great! I love the leaf cutouts–I’ve always meant to do that…
Happy Thanksgiving Thursday!
Maya, it’s really easy. You just need some little leaf cookie cutters. Those leaf cutouts are saving my pies this year!
Is thanks giving today, I thought it would be a weekend thing? Oh well, have a lovely day!
I think your pies looks perfect and yummy!
Thank you Hanna! Nope, Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday! Don’t ask me why.
happy thanksgiving! the pies look so good.
Thank you Coco! I’m sure the pies will taste delicious.
Happy Thanksgiving, I love your tree!
Thank you Nicole! We are loving the tree as well- it’s a nice fat one!
The pies look great! I think anytime you are making something with a modification, like gluten free or vegan, things can look a bit off but they usually taste great! My mom makes a crust less mini pumpkin pie for me which is perfect because I actually do not really like pie crust…
I’m heading out to my 10k in a bit. Wish me luck. It’s a COLD morning…. Currently 20. But I will warm up fast I’m sure.
Have a wonderful day with your family! I’m thankful for you, Jenny!
Ooh, good luck!!! 20 is better than 80. I hope you have fun. And I hope you and your family have a wonderful day! Enjoy your crustless pumpkin pie!
Love the tree! Love the pies! Love the card! Love you. Happy Thanksgiving, Jenny <3
Thank you Elisabeth!!! We need to organize some kind of Pony Express up to Canada so we can get some cards up to you!
Happy Thanksgiving, Jenny and family! I think those pies look amazing!
Thank you Lindsay! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Happy Thanksgiving! I think the pies look great and I can’t wait to hear more about your dinner!
Happy Thanksgiving Ashley! I hope you have a delicious vegan dinner!
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. I made two pumpkin chiffon pies yesterday. Before I folded the whipped egg whites into the pumpkin mixture, I stirred in the sugar on the first pie. I was supposed to BEAT the sugar in. Oof. I did it correctly for pie #2, so the two identical pies look different. Dang. I don’t make this pie often and it is involved. Making 2 of them at the same time and having to reuse the mixing bowls to my mixer was a process. My guess is those eating them will not notice a difference. The tree looks great.
Yes, it’s pretty interesting when you can actually see the difference- who knew that stirring was that much different than beating?
Have a great day!
Those pies look yummy. I had a 10k but I wimped out… 30 degrees, snow/run.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Thank you Darlene! You would like our weather today- it was 65 for my run. And sunny. You’ll be here in a couple months!
yup… ice/snow on the bike paths… can’t wait to leave now.
What a sweet present under your tree! I just realized that it is going to be…interesting when we put up our tree, because a certain puppy is going to be all over it. Little does she know how many counter surfing opportunities will be coming tonight.
Oh, Doggo will be in heaven. Give her a drumstick!
The tree… when Muffin was a kitten we were sure she was going to destroy the tree, but she didn’t! Hopefully you’ll be as lucky.
Happy belated Thanksgiving! I hope it was a lovely day!
Happy Thanksgiving, Jenny! I love the way the cats get so excited about trees. I can’t wait to put mine up next weekend!
