Fall Focus

This week’s Tuesday Topics prompt is: What’s your fall focus: fitness, family, fun, or something else? Huh! I had to think about that one. I’m always focused on fitness and my family, but not any more so in the fall. I finally decided that my focus is just to thoroughly enjoy the season. NOW!… for everyone who keeps saying “it’s too early for fall”, I say a) September 1st is the start of meteorological fall (so there!), and b) I hear you. When I lived up north I did not want to rush fall, and as a matter of fact didn’t enjoy fall at all, because I knew what was coming next. And I hated winter more than anything in the world. But now here I am in South Florida, where we pretty much have two seasons: summer, and super-summer. I think I speak for all of us when I say we’re ready for super-summer to be over. Sadly, we have a couple more months of heat and humidity, but it can be fall inside my house. Today I’ll get out the bins with my fall decorations! Then there’s my pumpkin bowl (which I’ll use for my pumpkin oatmeal) and my Crazy Pumpkin Lady mug… and I’ll be watching plenty of football. IN ADDITION, I’ve decided, for the first time ever, to have a Fall TBR. I went back and listened to some fall episodes of the Currently Reading podcast, and started this list: –Comfort Me With Apples by Catherynne M. Valente –Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery (CAN YOU BELIEVE I’VE NEVER READ THIS???) –Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier (have read this, but a loooooong time ago) Fellowship Point by Alice Elliot Dark (LOOK AT THIS COVER!): Holy Island by LJ Ross (this one takes place right before Christmas but again, the cover is screaming fall): Any other suggestions? I’m interested in anything dark, possibly (but not necessarily) creepy, or any stories that take place in fall or have a “fall” feel to them.
