Weekly Rundown- Rain and Gloom, Florida-Style

When I was putting together the photos for this post, I thought “Did I move to Seattle without realizing it?” It was such a gloomy week here! Apparently our rainy September has continued into the new month. As always, I’m linking up with Kim and Deborah for this Weekly Rundown! Let’s just see how the week went. Sunday 5 mile run! This was the only run of the whole week where I saw sunshine, and if I remember correctly, it was overcast by the time I was finishing. That’s okay! Overcast means cooler. At night I did an upper body strength workout. Monday This was a light day- I did Caroline Girvan’s deadbug workout in the morning and that was it. My plan to walk after work was foiled by the gloomy weather. Plus I wanted to take a nap, heh heh. Tuesday 11 mile trail run! It was overcast the whole time which helped SO MUCH. The remarkable thing about this run is that I saw SEVEN DEER. Or, I saw a deer seven times. It’s possible that there were three or four deer that I saw multiple times. Still- that was a record for me. Wednesday Lower body strength day! I did some bodyweight only exercises, like runner’s touch and one let sit-to-stand, and then some weighted squats. I’m still a little leery of my SI joint- in retrospect I think that problem was caused when I got a little too aggressive with the leg press at the gym. So this workout was a little more conservative, but everything felt good. Later in the day I got out for a 45 minute walk. Thursday In the morning, a 4 mile run. Later in the day I did another upper body strength workout. Friday Another light day, with Caroline Girvan’s deadbug workout in the morning. I meant to walk after work, but once again bailed. Which means I’ve already failed at Elisabeth’s Cool Blogger’s Walking Club, on the second day. Sigh. I did do Adriene’s yoga for lower back pain at night, and that felt good. Saturday 5 mile run before work! I added in some speed work. Then I had a loooong workday, and ended feeling very rundown. I think I’m fighting off a virus, because my daughter and her boyfriend both had colds this week. Well, at least tomorrow I can… Sunday GAH. It’s my colonoscopy prep day, ugh. I’ll do a short, easy run in the morning and then I’ll be fasting, and drinking the prep in the evening. I can’t wait!!! How was your week? Did you have some nice weather? Do you think your Sunday will be as fun as mine?
