Hi there! It’s time for Tuesday Topics, and today’s topic is How do you find balance during summer chaos?
It’s funny because as I was writing my Weekly Rundown post for Sunday, I couldn’t help thinking “Man, this is boring.” I’m doing a moderate amount of running, strength training, yoga, some walking here and there. Going to work, cleaning the house, reading… HO HUM. I need a little craziness in my life again!
For me, an interesting life is never really “balanced.” At least, not in the moment. Overall I guess it all balances out. There are times for more intense training and times for recovery. After my race I needed some down time, and it felt good. But now I’m getting that itch again.
Tomorrow I’m going for a trail run for the first time since March. I can’t wait! I miss being hot, sweaty, and exhausted. It’s not going to be long, compared to what I was doing, but it’s a start in that direction.
If the Universe had wanted us to be balanced then we wouldn’t have seasons, would we? I figure summer is the time for a little adventure, with all this extra daylight.

I’m watching NBA playoffs! I don’t normally watch basketball, but I love playoff games and these are exciting. I’m rooting for San Antonio to at least win a couple games!
