I finally made it to Trader Joe’s! Here’s my “seasonal” haul:

… and in addition I got all our usual favorites, like soy milk, nuts, and some frozen items. I’m saving those leaf chips for a special Sunday dinner.
I used the pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice in my oatmeal this morning:

Oats, soy milk, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla protein powder and salt. Yum!
The same day I went to Trader Joe’s, I also had fun browsing in Barnes and Noble. While I’ve been happily reading from my fall TBR, I’m also spotting some contenders for the next season:

And now… I’m looking forward to the weekend! My weekend starts Saturday at 5 pm (since I work that day) but then I make the most of it. I come home, take a nap, go out and get my Chipotle, and then settle down for a night of football and reading. Extra bonus points if no one else is home (which happens frequently this time of year, since my husband usually works Saturday nights and my daughter goes out). I know- I sound like the biggest anti-social jerk. But my job is very people-heavy, and after a full day I just want to be home with my cats.
What are you looking forward to this weekend?
Are there any Christmas-themed books that AREN’T rom-com or murder mysteries???
