Hi there! Welcome to the Weekly Rundown, hosted by Kim and Deborah (thanks, ladies!) I had a pretty good week, but it wouldn’t be complete without a small glitch. All’s well that ends well though… here’s how the week played out.
Sunday
4 mile run! I did this run in the afternoon so it was HOT. Here I am wearing my ice hat (it has pockets for ice cubes!)

Monday
In the morning I did an upper body strength workout, and good thing I got that in when I did (FORESHADOWING…)
Tuesday

10 mile trail run! The good news is that I managed the heat much better (stopped back at my car halfway for some ice) and I enjoyed this run FOR THE MOST PART. The bad news is, I tripped over a root and fell. No real harm done, but I jolted my arm, scraped up one hand, and ended up covered in dirt/sand for the rest of the run.

At night- Adriene’s yoga for runners.
Wednesday
I started the day with a 3 mile run.

Later in the afternoon I did a leg workout at home, including my hip stability exercises and dumbbell squats.
Thursday
Here’s where I ran into a snafu. This should have been an upper body day, but my right arm was still very sore from that fall. Sigh. I ended up doing some core in the morning, and then later in the day got out for a 45 minute walk.
Friday
In the morning I did my hip stability exercises. Later in the afternoon, a 4 mile run. The clouds saved me from overheating!

No HS football this week (it was an away game, which we won) so at night we watched the Marlins.
Saturday
Early morning leg day at the gym! Once again, 7 am on a Saturday is a great time to be there. Well- it’s not crowded. In addition to squats (my favorite) I did the glute press machine.

I finished with core, and then went to work! Saturdays are VERY long days for me now, but I kind of like it. I’m tired by the end of the day, but I come home and take a nap. Then Saturday night is like a little party, with takeout and TV. Yes, I really know how to live it up.
Sunday
SLEEPING IN. Now that school has started, Sunday is my only day to sleep late and I definitely take advantage of it. Later in the day I’ll run.
So, it wasn’t a bad week. Moving forward: I need to fit in a walk on Monday. And, I need to not fall and hurt my arm (it’s already better, so no real damage was done). Onward!
How was your week? Any glitches?
Is it still super hot where you are?- Yes. Yes it is.
