This has been a weird week! Nothing is drastically wrong, but my mind can’t seem to settle down. I started a blog post titled “Going Around in Circles” but just writing the post was annoying me so much, I gave up. I think simplicity is best! Here are five things for this Friday…
1. Our weather. Boy- do not plan a trip to Florida in September! It’s either hot, humid, and steamy, or dumping rain. Anyone who says we don’t have seasons down here is clearly wrong- we have Summer, Super-Summer, and Stormy September. As long as you don’t have to go anywhere, it’s kind of cozy to be curled up on the couch under a pumpkin throw blanket, while listening to rain and thunder outside. It’s our version of cozy fall weather!
2. This book. I’m liking it but can’t seem to get to the end! It’s really good, but complicated… I want to find out what happens and I also want to be able to move on to something else already.
3. Football! NFL football has officially begun- don’t ask me why they started on a Wednesday night, but I was happy about it. We also had a high school game tonight.
4. This weekend! My daughter is re-taking the SATs tomorrow. Send thoughts and prayers our way (wait- can thoughts and prayers take the place of serious prep? If so, please send them!) Other than that, my weekend will consist of work (Saturday) and a whole lot of relaxing (Saturday night and Sunday).
5. The hand-me-down pumpkin house. When Muffin was a kitten, we got a little pumpkin-shaped cat house for her. She eventually outgrew it, but last fall we got it out for Foxy. Guess who fits in it this year???
To be fair, Foxy still fits as well.
Muffin definitely does not fit anymore!

I know that feeling of sitting down to write a post and getting stuck so well…when in doubt throw it out and write something that you want to write! Blogger DNF FTW! I’m sending good SAT vibes your way.
The kitty pumpkin house tho! It looks like the young ‘uns still have a ways to go before they outgrow it.
My weekend involves two state capitals and an FLW site! And then I’ll be going home and staying put for a few weeks! I love the travel but I’m ready to be home.
